Hi. I've got a pretty good PC, and it does everything well. I can even attach hardware with the RWY cables (such as my Gamecube). (I can't find my region-free portable DVD player though)... so the PC itself can do pretty much everything, except play DVDs.

Now, I KNOW it can play them, as I have the ATI ALL-IN-WONDER Graphics Card, which has a built in ATI DVD Player in the computer. However, it has one annoying feature - I can't put in a different region DVD player more than 5 times, so it then resets. Due to half of my DVDs come from my old country, yet the other half are from were I live now, I'm scared to put in my DVDs, only to find out I can't play half of them anymore.

So, is there anyway to get it so I can watch any DVD on my PC, without worrying about this region problem? Or will I have to stick to my DVD Players (that suck) down stairs? Thanks in advance.

It's not the graphics card. It's the region settings. Try using VLC media player (which doesn't require the use of downloaded codecs) for free.

If that doesn't work, download AnyDVD. It will make your DVD's region free and removed all encryption.
