Does anyeone know of a website where I could get a free antivirus? I already have AVGantivirus but I dont think that its helping. I get a lot of pop-ups and I also get things installed on my computer.

some websites are blocked on my computer. how do i unblock them? i went to internet options and put them under the accpeted websites but it still doesnt work. the websites arent blocked completely, i just cant sign onto them. help!

i still cant access links on my emails and other home pages, i have run virus checks anti spy ware and variouse programes even spoke to tech advisers and still cant sort the problem however if i go onto net with google i can click on links...but this does not sort my problem on my own email home page etc etc.....can anyone help?

I was wondering if there was a feature in FireFox that required a password to open the program. I know it may seem 'weird', but it could really help me in my present predicament. I've looked around and the closest I could find was it asking for a master password to show all the remembered passwords. So thanks for your posts.

I have received this kind of email many times, so I know that this kind of email is obviously a crime. What I want to know is what is this person want to do by sending this stupid email, what I am supposed to do. Thank you.

My computer keeps going to different websites without me wanting to do so. If you search something on Yahoo! or Google and click on the search result, the browser will re-direct me to different websites that want me to buy stuff. Thanks for taking the time to help with this.

i use msn messenger and have chosen not to save my convo's on the computer because it's not mine it's my fiances. Somehow he was reading my conversations even tho they aren't being saved... how did he do this? he also managed to get my password to my msn messenger as well... is there some way he is tracking what's being done on his computer?

Ok, so uhm......I was trying to download a crack.....I know I'm not supposed to and trust me, I won't do it again...and now I can't log in to google....When I try it sends me to a phisher.....with the beggining as https:// instead of http:// like the authentic google uses......and I tried downloading spy sweeper but the virus closes it as soon as it tries to install....It's so evil!!!>.<

I had a home pc that was giving me some problems. I took it to my office and the tech hooked it up to the network we have (Novell) to diagnose the problem and download files for me. He told me he fixed it and I brought it home but the log-in screen wants me to enter a password based upon his employee log-in at work. I dont have his log-in info! How can I get around the log-into network with a password - when the computer is not connected to a network. Is there a way to do this in dos? Can I uninstall Novell through setup? I cant get past the gatekeeper!!!!!

I dont want to install any extra software. I tried internet options > Security> restricted sites.

But my child knows how to take a web site out of that list .

I posted an item for sale on the net. A buyer agreed to the price, but wanted to use Alertpay. He says it's like paypal. So I signed up to Alertpay. 3 days later Alertpay sends me a email saying that a money order from the buyer has been approved, and that it is safe to send the item. However, the money order will not be credited to my account until I give them the shipment tracking number within 24 hrs. Can I trust Alertpay??
