about 2 years ago, and I like this account.
However, it's stuffed with hundreds of undelivered spams from spammers. Are there some good tips of preventing others from using my email to spam?

if you get emails from spammers, you need to get spam filter, they stop like 80% of spam.

now if you get undelivered spam messages sent by 'you', then there's an email worm on your computer doing this. you need to run an antispyware scan and delete everything it finds. you can get a reputable antispyware at http://www.2-spyware.com/review-spyware-doctor.html

Use an email with some numbers in it, harder for people to remember by heart, but less likely to be used by spammers.

If you get that many returned, have you scanned your system to enure it's not sending them out silently behind your back ? If so see the note at bottom re spyware removal.

I also prefer owning my own domain, so I can have multiple addresses, and I can even set 1 up for specific reasons, such as I needed a "public" address when I was ona course so course colleagues could get in touch, so it got a new email address I can kill in 2 mins if I need to.

Spyware removal :

I'd reccomend these 2, run each in turn
ADAWARE fro www.lavasoftusa.com (Free personal version)
also SPYBOT S&D from www.spybot.org (Again free for home use)

Also worth having in toolbox is CCLEANER from www.ccleaner.com again a free download, and a good general windows tidyup utility.

do not respond to the spam emails with links like unsubscribe me-that just lets the spammers know you exist and the email account is active. thats all you can really do, otherwise youll have to get a new email...and only give your email address to people you know.
