First of all norton takes up too much space and time for scans, so i would recommend you to follow these steps.
Try this it works fabulously
Follow these steps to a completely secure computer. Download and install all of these free programs. It’s allright to have more than one anti-spyware, but not anti-virus so make sure you have removed and uninstalled every bit of your old antivirus and firewall as these can cause unwanted conflicts.

Now restart your computer twice to ensure all or most of the programs have been properly installed. Make sure to update all these programs everyday. Now that you have updated all your programs go turn off your computer. Now hold on F8 right after you turn on your computer and that will bring you to the menu to go to safe mode. Hit safe mode and log in. Now launch up all the AVG programs and wait about 2 hours as it’s the first scan. If the programs have found anything simply delete the infections. After that, run spybot, adaware, and a-squared free edition, if they detect anything, simply delete those infections too. Then, after those run a full scan on windows defender it shouldn’t find anything by now and if it hasn’t then your computer has been cleaned of bad infections. Now its time to clean up. Run each of the clean up programs one by one. Now you have a safe, healthy, clean computer. And try to download these top internet browsers.

I dont kow why you are paying for McAfee. I have it now under comcast for free and have had it under AOL for free too. I dont know about AVG or Avast. But I have paid for Norton and I had better service out of a free McAfee

I've had really good luck with Grisoft's AVG free anti-virus software. It picked up things that McAfee Enterprise missed!

My mom is a tech and ever since it came out, when she fixes someone's computer she puts AVG everytime
my computer has been virus free for 3 years so if i could reccomend anything it would be AVG. McAffee sucks and so does Norton

yeah go ahead and use AVG, it's free and doesn't lag the computer like mcafee. just make sure you remove all off the mcafee security suite before you get avg. if you go to mcafees site, there is a removal tool you can dl to be sure all mcafee components are gone after you uninstall.

In many aspects, AVG is better than McAfee. AVG is just as good, and doesn't have a price tag with it.

Get Avast and avoid norton it is a memory hog and its credibility and performance has dropped drastically over the years.

I would highly recommend the free version of AVG.
