It really depends on how the history was deleted. Most people will open there Internet browser and go to Tools > Options and delete there browsing history and think that it's all gone.

The PC still saves and caches all the web sites you have been to as a file into a folder normally labeled Temp Files, within Document's and Settings. Through there a person can access every web browser you have ever viewed, even if you have deleted browsing history through your web browser. In order to make it harder to track your steps, one must delete both browsing history, and manually delete the Temp files saved within the Documents & Settings folder in your PC.

Even then that's not a hundred percent, a computer guru can sometimes find a way to pull that information back up.

There are some programs on the net that remove these files completely on the net, or you can go for the manual approach and do it by hand, but you have to know what you are looking for, and where you need to look.

So many answers and like trey98607's answer so much bullshit.

No one has asked what operating system we're talking or even which browser. So the answer could be Yes or no.

If I make an assumption, like everyone above, that the PC is running the Windows XP operating system and Internet Explorer 6, it is possible to delete the 'History' and still see what internet sites have been browsed. You can use "Tools > Options and delete their browsing history" and or delete all Cookies and Temporary Internet Files and the entire (visible contents of the History folder, but the browsing history is still accessible. That is the purpose of the hidden, system file index.dat.

If we're talking about Firefox on Windows, or in Linux the answer is an unequivocal Yes.

Is it achievable? confident. Is it uncomplicated? No. once you're worried on the subject of the police, they're going to ought to get a warrant. once you're worried approximately your parents, it may be too a lot of a complication to handle client service to get the logs. in case you prefer them for your self given which you lost your well-known website, you will no longer have the potential to decipher the innovations. Your ISP shops IP logs, no longer web pages. so which you will see a gaggle of IPs. those IPs provides you with the "homepage" of the information superhighway website. additionally, in case you reside with somebody who manages your information superhighway, they are able to log all utilization during the router and notice what web pages (no longer pages, remember each and every thing basically shops IPs; your laptop shops the pages you have visited) you have visited.
