is there any point in having programs like Ad-aware and Spybot if i have Norton Antivirus 2007? ad-aware is only for adware and spybot i think is for adware and spyware. norton gets rid of viruses, adware, and spyware. is there anything norton doesn't do that i'd need those programs for?

i used system restore and got the old one back but it wont work because a conflict and even warned me of a virus. how do i fix this. whats a good free antivirus to use?

My friend was downloading stuff and she installed some crap. she told me it was from here : http://www.osx-e.com/downloads/misc/flyakite_osx.html
i saw from far away that either a spyware/virus alert came up (i couldnt tell from far away) but she told me she removed it so i ddnt worry.

but now it seems its still on my comp. its still an option avialble on the add/remove place and i uninstalled it many many times. i cant find it in my program files though...

i think it's a virus because my cookies/saved forms are randomly being erased (only i use my comp unless my friends come over, but it's been days) and my firefox bookmarks are suddenly disappearing and when i turned on my comp today, my wallpaper was gone and my windows appearence turned into the default one (i remember changing it silver, and now it's blue) so yeah.

help?

There is this guy that I used to talk with over IM, and we'd transfer music, and video files back & forth. I have the updated version of Norton's anti-virus software and all systems are good, but I'm wondering if there is a sneaky way to see all my computer files, from when he transferred files to me? Is there a way someone can hack even if your anti-virus software works 100%? I'm worried please help!!
