Is there any way for me to look up an IP address for someone else's computer? It's a very urgent matter.

This person is blackmailing me, and this is the only way I can think of totrack him down and stop him. Please, please, please, help me out.

The owner of the IP address is the ISP (DSL, Road Runner, ect.) You can look up the ISP from a whois engine. http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/index.jsp

But you will need a court order to get them to tell you that persons identity.
