How do i block website without downloading any software i want to block website so any advice

i bought a used laptop that belonged to a school. it is locked with a password. is there anyway i can overwrite the password myself without having to take it to a computer shop?

Hello computer guru's of the Yahoo I was wondering if someone could give me some insight into what virus protection I should use on my new laptop. It is quite an expensive machine I had built for work. My PC had Norton, it was hacked, so i put PC-cillian on it and it has been solid but won't work with my Laptop, it has Vista. The Laptop has come with McAfee but I've always heard really bad things about there product and wanted to double-check before I activate it. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

i have registered my bank card to them and they have put money in my account how can i retrieve my user name and password. they wont let me sign up again using different name with the same bank details.

When I go to yahoo mail I keep getting a Security Alert pop up.
Alert says that the Security Certificate on this web page has expired or is not updated. Please explain what that means?

Does anyone know how I can contact them. Anyway I asked a question earlier about my homepage getting hijacked and critial error messges and basically reading similar Q&A of others, I was able to understand my own question. Now, the PC Guy mentioned something about Ziob etc etc and to use a company called)I think No More Spy). However I subscribed to systemdocter 2006 and the problem persists and I can't get any help of these guys. Does anybody know or have had to deal with customer service at the systemsdocter 2006 company. Or arte they even legit....Whats the best way to get rid of my hijacked homepage(trojan virus) and the critical error message and also which would be the best antivirus or antispyware to use....This has been a frustrating and terrible experience for me but I am thankful to all you fellow Ask Yahoo users for your information and teamwork...GO YAHOO!!!

I've made a fdisk (boot disk) and I have the win98se CD. (i got it off a mate O mine) Unfortunately I don't have a "product key". Is there any other way I can find it...the registry?
In other words, does each winOS cd, have it's own distinguished Product Key?
Even if I can find the product key on the OS i'm using now, what use is it, for the reinstall?

I rang him to see if he could find it, but he's not got back to me.

Everytime i try to access sites such as download.com or avg(grisoft.com),adaware, im redirected to another web site(spysheriff.com,adult sites).
I think there is some malware on my pc.., does anyone know what is causing this problem??

I had been using Ad-Aware, but I'm looking for a good firewall for free to use on my Windows XP, and the free XP firewall doesnt seem to work all that well. Any suggestions for a good and effective free firewall that is not a trojan itself?

Ok guys I got problems:

My brother accidentally unleashed a virus on to our computer. It corrupted our antivirus/firewal, as well as System Restore, the search system, the installer program, and I'm sure a ton of others.

Obviously I don't have very many options for fixing this. I can't use a virus scanner because the one I have was messed up and I'm not able to install/download any others because the installers were hit. I can't use system restore because that's down too. I can't even look for the virus manually because the file searcher is down.

I really really reaaalllly need some help here. Any ideas would be welcome.

Has anyone out there downloaded the AVG free anti virus protection. I have had McAfee up until now,but it is showing that I need to renew and that my virus protection is low. Is it safe to download this AVG as I can't really afford £4O or more for another McAfee package.
Also do I have to remove the McAfee from my computer to download the AVG? Help please, I'm a bit of a novice on this subject.Thanks.

I want to block access to someone looking at certain profiles on things such as myspace and facebook, however I do not want to block the entire site. Is there a way to do this, and if so how? Preferrably with a free software.
