anyone know what i should do i have a brand new computer (with vista) and my norton auto protect is not working and they said i would have to pay for it to be fixed can i just get rid of it and keep my spywar or anything else i can do for free i mean it is a new computer i shouldn't have to spend more money allready should i?

I need a good computer tech to come and look at my computer. I live in the Reynoldsburg area. Does anyone know of someone that is good? I am having all kind of pop ups, virus warnings,etc. ect. Now my screen is blank except for the programs that are installed, do show up. I have tried everything I know to do. Anyone?

I've been to many sites for a free scan but no matter what I download,
it wont delete any of the spyware and recentlt my computer been popping up many trojan warnings so I'm worried that my computer will crash.
what can I download that scans for free and deletes for free.

Just got an e-mail from someone wishing to purchase an item listed on Craigslist. They responded to my yahoo address but when I attempted to verify who they were through profiles, they didn't exist. Turns out, there's an encription option available at yahoo that does this for you if you want. Is there any way to turn it around so that you can see exactly who it is you are conversing with?

antivirus protection. Does anyone know how to get rid of the alerts?? i have McAfee, internet security installed and it doesnt seem to be stopping the alerts and it says my system is fine, but the alerts just keep going off. the alert is a yellow triangle with a caution sign in it on the taskbar on the bottom left corner, I hope somebody nows more about this than i do and can help. thanks

Each time I try to download an anti-spyware program eg download.com, or from the spybot mirror websites it downloads between 25-50% before an error message shows up saying the download file is corrupt and something about using another file. I'm still using Windows 98 and the software I was downloading was compatible with windows 98. Does anyone know of free anti-spyware program that won't come up with an error or why the same error keeps occuring.
