it and if I logged off their info would be lost. So i shut it off. What can I do? I downloaded something from PCtools and it obviously isn't working.

It is a laptop and won't allow you to restore or will it?

download that antispyware http://www.ewido.net/en/ then go to safe mode , start>run and type msconfig choose diagnostic from the general box and restart ur computer , now install the antispyware and run it , and do not forget after that to do all over again but choose normal instead of diagnostic , wating for the 10 points ,,, i'm pretty sure that is gonna work lol

You can use anti virus softwares to remove virus. However trojan cannot be removed.
In order to remove trojan completely u need to format the system and reload everything.

Before you do that, try system restore:

Click on Start > All programs > Accessories > System Tools > System restore.
Then select a date when the system was working absolutely fine without any trojan and viruses.

The system will restart and hopefully it will remove the trojan.
Also note that any software or program u installed after that date will also be removed.

go back into windows and do a search for system restore. restore from a point before you installed the pctools product
then reboot and do a full virs sweep. there is free virus checker online (panda I think its called)

You'll need to find out what the trojan is and look up the specific tools needed to remove it.

Then... you should quit downloading stuff from "WAREZ" and pirate sites.

My bet is you have Limewire or some other fileshareing program installed. Get rid of it.

just shut down your computer, if someone was logged on it would not matter if you shut down all together

trojan dose not work like that

You could sweep your computer with an antivirus to get rid of it.
