which one is better, purchasing a VPN box or a box that serve as VPN, firewall and IPS???

we are planning to Implement VPN in our network. is it better to buy a box that serve only as a VPN or a box that serve more than that like a firewall or IPS (especially that we are about to buy a new firewall and IPS).

i need profissional answers with references please.

This is one of those really tough questions to answer in here. Without knowing your network setup, # of users, and other security requirements it is almost impossible to answer.

That said there are valid reasons for doing it either way. From a cost/management prespective having an all-in-one box is nice.
