I have Norton Internet Security installed but my subscription has not been renewed. Since I'm on a tight budget, I can't afford to renew it. Are there any ways to get rid of it free of charge? Norton Internet Security is asking for the Product Key, what is that exactly? I can't find mine anywhere.

I have Spyware on my PC.If I restore (Windows XP)
my system to a previous point, when the spyware wasn't
in my system, will that cause the spyware to dissapear?

And, yes,I do have a couple of good anti-spywares but I've been
told it that i is not so easy to completely delete those things and, anyway,
it isn't a problem to restore my PC in an earlier time..

I was contacted on my messenger by a person from Africa who claims to be an attorney. He says that I can claim an inheritance and will send me proof of what he says once I have emailed him a reply to his email. Of course, I am suspicious and pretty certain it's a scam. However, I would like to know if I send him an email, will that give him any computer info that he could use against me? Would that give up my IP address or something else that he could use against my PC?

Live update will not include virus definitions; I have to manually load them in. Symantec keeps telling me to check my clock. My clock is correct. I am also getting this: res://C:\ProgramFiles\CommonFiles\symantecshared|AntiSpam\asRes.LOC/nasstatus.htm. I have not clue what this means but it will not let me allow me to open the Norton Spam in live update. I need help using not so technical terms as I am computer savvy. I have sent Symantec over 15 emails only to get the same response: "check my clock" and use auto tools. Auto tools will not work. I think it's because I updated Internet Explorer. They will not allow me to call without paying.

After re-installing windows XP to get rid of a virus bug, I have met this annoying problem: after logging on to the computer and being on it for around 20-30 minutes it just kind of stops responding and working. Programs die out one by one and I have to restart. I've been told I have to activate windows to stop having this, so I checked how to do it and it turned out I had to go to Start-All Programs-Accessories-System Tools-Activate Windows but it's just not there!!! That option just cannot be found in the list. It's very annoying because I keep having to restart and I cannot activate! Boohoo, please help moi someone :(
