If you forget your user account password, check your password hint. (Your password hint is located on the Welcome screen beside the password prompt.)

If you have a password reset disk, you can use it to create a new password for your account. Your personalized computer settings will be retained.

If your password hint does not help you remember your password and you did not create a password reset disk, you will need to have someone with a computer administrator account create a new password for you. For security reasons, a computer administrator cannot recover your password if you forget it; he or she can only create a new one for you.

Well here are a few suggestions. If you have another account on your PC. You can actually see what the password is but you can reset it. Log in using another Admin account. Goto Control Panel>Users>find the user thats in question and reset it.

If you don't have another admin. Try this. Boot in safe mode. To do this restart your PC, press F8 when the bios is running, and go to safemode. Use the Administrator account, either just press enter without entering a password or if you set one and know what it is enter that. Then go to the Control Panel>Users>and reset the account from there.

There are programs out there that if you want to actually recover the password. But if you just need to unock the account and you don't care to find out what the password is. My suggestions may help. Good luck
