After re-installing windows XP to get rid of a virus bug, I have met this annoying problem: after logging on to the computer and being on it for around 20-30 minutes it just kind of stops responding and working. Programs die out one by one and I have to restart. I've been told I have to activate windows to stop having this, so I checked how to do it and it turned out I had to go to Start-All Programs-Accessories-System Tools-Activate Windows but it's just not there!!! That option just cannot be found in the list. It's very annoying because I keep having to restart and I cannot activate! Boohoo, please help moi someone :(

try going to windows update, it should automatically ask you to activate before installing anything if you are not

Im sure you were either reinfected or never removed the infection at all. Even if you dont have a firewall youll still get infected just by being online. This is not common id suggest you disconnect from the internet if you have anything valuable boot up in safe mode and clean that box.

I think u still have a virus , have u installed an anti virus yet ? If not do that , otherwise not sure !
