like utarget, adultfriendfindre, and other dating crap related windows, also from http://a.as-eu.falkag.net, some popups are just blank. I do have norton internet security and firewall and popup blockers, all on. Yet these things are still coming. I installed spybot search and destroy, spyware blaster, ad aware se, after running them I ended up not being able to log into internet. Please, can you tell me whatta heck is going on?

1.) Get yourself Firefox for web surfing.
Do not use Internet Explorer!
Get Firefox at : http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
2.)Uninstall everything that you consider it protecting you such as spyware, internet security etc. Those things are not helping you block the popup and spyware actually. Sometimes it might be considers the spyware itself.
3.) Download antivirus and install it to your computer.
Get it for free for home user : http://www.avant.com
4.) After installing of antivirus program , restart and let it scan on your hard drive. Delete every single virus the program found.
Following these steps might help you clear up the virus, pop-ups that generated by spyware, spyware and adsware. Actually, no more crazy popup. NO MORE.

all of the above answers are good. running your spyware programs in safemode, running windows updates, etc. What I found to be a better solution is delting the web adresses from the registry. here's how:
1. click on start
2. select run
3. type in regedit
once the registry editor in running....hit ctrl+F
this bring up a find box.
type in a name of the website you are getting it should take you to the list of EVERY website you have ever visted, scroll through the list and delete the ones offesive or annoying to you.
The list will be VERY long and it will take a few minutes.
when your done, do a ctrl+f again and enter the same term to make sure there is not a duplicate entry. I do this on a regular basis and never get popups.

I had that same exact problem before installing the windows updates. Have you installed them? The updates makes you download the latest version of Windows XP SP2 That comes with the version of pop up blocker that fights off pop ups

Go to START, then to RUN, in window type. msconfig, and click OK,. then to START UP. In this window you can block all programs you do not wish to load up at start. Uncheck the boxes of those you do not want.
Go to CONTROL PANEL, then click Add/Remove Programs, then just delete the programs you want.
Go to ALL PROGRAMS. Right click the ones you want and delete.
