Security - December 2006

I ran Norton, Trend Micro, & Windows Defender & all check out ok...however when I open my browser I am directed to a SPY WARE Fix site. I can type yahoo or msn in and get to the page without any pop-ups. this is annoying - does anyone know how to fix ?

I have gone into add and remove programs and deleted all of the things that I needed to, to get rid of this. It is still as my home page and it won't let me change it. I have also repaired IE and it is still there! PLEASE HELP ME!!!

my subscribtion ran out yesturday but i still seem to have the Virus blocker working, and the Firewall.

Is the spam blocker that important, or i dont have to worry about it

and I still have the anti-virus protection from McFree, I thought it was supposed to expire at the same time too? does that mean ill have that forever?

I will be replacing Norton Internet Security 2006 with Trend Micro PCIllan 2007 on a Windows XP PC from Dell. Norton hogs up resources too much and I want to make sure it is completely gone. Also, I want to avoid picking up any viruses during the installation process (assuming I will be unprotected after uninstalling Norton and waiting for TrendMicro to load).

in the status bar of my main screen,there is a message that says 'critical system errors' and tells me to buy a virus protection software while I already have McAfee package, I also ran the windows spyware but its normal too,what can be the reason for this.

i subscribed £39.00 to mcafee security to protect against viruses the security did not installe correctly on my computer mc
afee sent me a message confirming that instalation of security had not loaded correctly and to contact their technical advice dept,i tried day after day hour after hour but all i got from mcafee was wrong password,so then my computer screen was popping and cracking mcafee security blocked me from sending e mails for any help! so more viruses got into my hard drive totaly corrupting it cost to myself £170.00 new windows xp disc £90.00 now my computer is working fine but mcafee say's they will not refund my subscription £39.00 because i did not cancell my subscription in there 30 day right to cancel limit i could not cancel mcafee security iterrupted all my means of comunicating with there so called help lines MCAFEE NIGHTMARE BEWARNED KEEP WELL AWAY FROM MCAFEE!!!!!!!!!!!

Everytime I get on a certain website, for example myspace.com, it is blocked by this netgear firewall. I don't know how it got on my computer, but I would like to take it off. When a website is blocked, the screen is black and in big, red bold letters it says, "blocked by netgear firewall." How do I unblock it?

A supposed Comcast website shows up in every IE site I go to and says I have to download an update (Windows XP Home Edition is my OS) and turn off all antivirus, anti spyware software I have installed.
