i subscribed £39.00 to mcafee security to protect against viruses the security did not installe correctly on my computer mc
afee sent me a message confirming that instalation of security had not loaded correctly and to contact their technical advice dept,i tried day after day hour after hour but all i got from mcafee was wrong password,so then my computer screen was popping and cracking mcafee security blocked me from sending e mails for any help! so more viruses got into my hard drive totaly corrupting it cost to myself £170.00 new windows xp disc £90.00 now my computer is working fine but mcafee say's they will not refund my subscription £39.00 because i did not cancell my subscription in there 30 day right to cancel limit i could not cancel mcafee security iterrupted all my means of comunicating with there so called help lines MCAFEE NIGHTMARE BEWARNED KEEP WELL AWAY FROM MCAFEE!!!!!!!!!!!

You probably have no recourse - software suppliers' small print usually takes care of that.

Mcafee is brilliant. AVG (other answer) is crap and very slow. Free programs usually add viruses. Why don't you try re installing and remember your password. Be careful not to allow programs that might have a virus. Mcafee can not be held liable if you tick allow. Not sure why you failed to get through by phone but if a Internet download failed there should be some redress. If you have the discs no problem.

I don't use McAfee but I have to say it is your responsibility to check that the software is installed properly and updated. You paid £39 for the licence to install and updates for a year. Just one more thing never rely on just one form of defence against intrusion and viruses. I wouldn't pay for McAfee and definitely not Norton's

Probaly not--sounds like more of their shenagans--they change their websites when you try get through to them also. Good luck getting every little piece of it out your computor--bet there is still some there...and if you would gotten to them within 30 days--they would have said 10 days...good one not deal with . Personal experience.

Wow, instruction outwitted you did they. All you had to do was uninstalle it, then reinstall. I have it and it works perfect for me. BTW, if you got more virii, maybe you should stay away from the porn sites that have most of that stuff.

Now, go to AVG and find free great anti-virus.

you could try taking it back...macafee is rubbish. try avg. its free and you can download from the net.
