There is a place on the screen when they pop up that says "click here for abuse". When I click it it sends me to a screen that says to remove program go to start>control panel>add and remove programs>"public messenger". But when I get to add and remove programs, public messenger is not one of the programs. There is nothing even similar to it. I've tried e-mailing the site that is sending these pop up ads but it doesn't seem to matter. I am a Christian and I would be mortified if a friend borrowed my computer and one of these ads popped up! I used to belong to a Christian dating site and I'm wondering if that is how this adult dating site got my information. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm tired of seeing women's boobs popping up every time I check my e-mail. Thanks Stacie

ystrdy while some1 was using my pc, it started acting funny. looking thru the processes and services showed xtra activity. when u click a link it opens a new window, increasing the # of windows u have open, and when u try to open a window under my computer, it opens "my documents" using Folder view.
now i know the brontok worms do open folders using folder view.
since morning a program, says its yhoo msgr update has bin tryn to execute on my machine. i use solely guest acc so it cant writ 2my bios.
checkn nortons' site says there is a worm that ..."Makes a copy of %System%\Dllcache\Tftpd.exe as %System%\Wins\svchost.exe."..

do you tnk its a virus/worm that crept into my pc,& it startd while on this answers! or has yahoo msgr bin tryn to update itself on ur machines as well? ur answer wud let me know whats happn.
the only other unusual file creation here was that my system volume info folder has bin creating folders everyday now, which it wasn't doing before.
