I still have a icon on tray and it still comes up in start up when I turn on computer. I've been add/remove programs. Most of it has been removed but I still have fragments.

I was told that my computer is running reallllly slow at start up and shut down because I am running more than one security protection. If so and I take all but one off, am I more suspetible to viruses, trojens, etc.?

Everytime i turn on my computer, my security system goes insane saying that there is a dangerous file in my computer. i try to remove it with Windows Defender (also Spy Sheriff pops up and i never had it on my computer) but a blue screen comes up saying that an error has occured and i have to shut down. (blue screen, white leters). i try system restore but it always fail. please help (safe mode doesnt work either)

got a virus and i dont know who to contact to fix it or what to do, my computer cant log in into websites like myspace or youtube, yahoo, my comcast acount I messed up and i think i deleted some file from my antivirus that was infected , so does anybody know how or where i can fix it?

Is there anyone out here that can help me hide the porn on my computer?
I need to try and erase some previous versions of folders is this possible or what else can I do so if someone looks through my cp they wont so easily find something.An e-mail address would be great too

I am updating the question since there seems to be some misunderstandings:
I had a trojan called W32/Tilebot-HX and I got rid of it using avast but it left behind a program vcmon.exe which is there on task manager but cannot be found anywhere on the computer, even in safe mode. It keeps trying to connect to the net but zonealram is stopping it.
vcmon is not to be confused with vSmon which is an important part of zonealarm.
I have looked it up on the net and it is definitely a vicious program but I can't get rid of it. I have scanned in safe mode with avast again and scanned with trend micro, I have disabled system restore and cleaned my registry and run spyware programs.
What else can I do aside from doing a clean install of XP?

Does anyone know how to get onto email at school? I have to use my email for school. I am a Post-Secondary student going to college and high school at the same time. My system administrators went out of town for 2 months for family emergencies so there is no way to get on. I have to get on to do my online class because I don't have internet at home. Please, if there is a way, please tell me.

My laptop has the latest Norton Antivirus protection, but i am getting LOADS of pop-ups saying that i have all these bugs and stuff. My Norton Antivirus doesnt pick it up, either the pop-ups are telling the truth, or they are the actual virus, either way, how can i get rid of the them??

This file will not go away and I can't find it anywhere on my pc yet it is in task manager, whenever I end process it just comes back straightaway. My firewall keeps stopping it form connecting it to the interent.
I have got rid of a trojan that I had and it was still there so I went into safe mode and got rid of system restore then did a full virus scan in safe mode but found nothing. I am using avast and zone alram.
Help please?

Hi Guys,
Quite often I have been referred to a web address that takes me to microsoft. I see lots of downloads that they are offering like office and other stuff, I am sory I cannot explain properly as I am not a well person or good on computers, I am very touchy as to what I download as I dont know if it's safe or free. Are these downloads etc on this microsoft page free or chargeable. Thanking you for your help.
