I suggest that you try to carryout system restore to a day previous to the day when there was no virus or any problems. It may be a few weeks or months back. You have to decide the date. Detailed instructions are posted at http://fixit.in/systemrestore.html
The problem is likely to be solved. Then,You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at
http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html

never heard of it myself

try www.microsoft.com
www.mcafee.com
www.zonealarm.com
www.cnet.com also
Mcafee has a live pc scan and I am sure others do as well.
If you have a company telling you they dunno, then where the heck you get this from??? cuz most these cmpanies truly all work together from my experiences, and if somebody created a virus, then there is a FIX for it somewhere.

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

I think your in luck!

Download a copy of AOL Active Virus Shield. It's free and it's based
on the very popular kaspersky lab's antivirus killer.

Not only does it remove viruses but also keyloggers, trojans and
spyware/malware.

It's free and easy to use. There is a download link and an easy to use
step by step walkthrough by going here:
