i nevery use outlook but my new roommate uses it for work and since he started accessing his account on my computer, the whole system seems to be very sluggish. is it configured incorrectly? is there a magic button i need to push?

Make sure he hasn't received a virus or spyware through an email.

No using Outlook doens't slow down your computer. For the magic button, download Advanced Windows Care, it's free, safe, and will tune up your computer.

outlook 2007 slowers the machine. outlook 2003 is good. which version r u using? don't use outlook 2007 if u'r RAM is above 512MB.

try to see the processor and memory used by outlook. and accordingly take decision
