Yes it does. It takes your computer back to the time it was stored in the box.

You will lose all data on your computer if you have not backed it up. So if you have music, video, pictures etc on it, you should back up those files prior to Reformatting the computer. Remember, if you ;have an Infection these files could be infected also. Backing them up and reinstalling could reinfect your computer.

it does a good job...but its not perfect
for ultimate cleanup u would repartition and reformat your hdd and also rewrite your mbr area of the hdd - i use 'cleantrack'.

if you have a restore you most likely might have a partition on your hdd that was loaded from the factoy - if you do the above mentioned you will lose that partition - so i would recommend making a ghost of that partition to reload after taking care of your hdd
