ok so I`ve practically tried everything to remove this program it wont let me acess some websites and it keeps popping up as my main homepage can someone please help me? thanks

a few days ago this red circle with a white X in it appeared on my start bar and a bubble popped up saying my computer was infected with spyware click here to remove it and it opened some pest kill program or something like that that i never downloaded so i removed that program but i keep getting the message saying my computer if infected and to click it to get rid of it but now that i deleted the program it does absolutely nothing when i click on the message and since then it changed my desktop background from my picture to just a blank black background here is a pic of the message http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i188/xBabyBoy4021x/infected.jpg

I find that the Virusscan is disabled frequently. I switch it on but it switches itself off. Is this typical or do I have malware issues.

I stupidly downloaded Myspace's web content viewer and ended up the a horrible virus. System Mechanic has not gotten rid of it, McAfee has not gotten rid of it and I can't reformat because my disc is not usable. I have limited funds so cannot just run out and try another virus program. This thing is eating my memory and has locked most of my programs including Internet Explorer. I am starting online classes in a few days and need a solution fast.

One of my dopey roommates was looking up ... er ... provacative videos on my laptop and installed a couple of things because he didn't know what he was doing. Now I have a flashing warning sign in my system tray that reads "Critical System Errors!" when I scroll over it. If I click on it, it automatically redirects my web browser to a download site for a product called "VirusBursters." Please, please help me. I've done everything I can think of and of COURSE my McAfee is useless in this capacity.

is it possibe to install a keylogger without the knowledge of a user who is using Windows XP service Pack2? I am asking this only for my knowledge (dont take the wrong sense).

In a sys with FIREWALL in XP SP2, will the firewall easily allow the installation of a keylogger or SOME OTHER Spywares without the user's knowledge?

How to find whether a spyware or a keylogger is present in a system? What r the symptoms for its presence?

Also if a keylogger is present in a sys & it collects the details it has to definitely send the collected info to a remote hacker. If a firewall is installed will the firewall tell the presence of a keylogger?

I expect the answers of all my questions.

My username in my computer by which I login to the machine everyday, suddenly giving errors "You donot have enough admin privilege in the laptop to make this change" when trying certain things like changing my default media player or changing start up services via msconfig. My username still shows that it is an administrator in Control Panel -> users. Any thoughts pls ???

I downloaded a driver cleaner which popped up when on computer. I ran it, then my security stopped it. Asked me if i trusted pub said no and told it to remove. Then dialog box asked if wanted to clean it, so said yes but it then said file cant be cleaned. Just closed all boxes. Does this mean programme now hiding in computer?

I have installed two OS windows 98 and Windows Xp ... I have lot of option and secuirty settings in Xp ... Like I can hide my drive and make limited user accounts. But when any body open widows with Win98 ...he has no restriction ...he ca access the hidden drive even,... Tell me the solution of this problem with proper example please...... let lose the viruses that it had caught and deleted??? or are they gone once they are deleted? i want to delete becuase it's not stoping most of the viruses anymore!
