I was downloading "stuff" and now I have these jpg files on my computer that won't go anywhere. I can't open them, I can't move them and I can't delete them. does anyone out there know how I can get rid of them? They're driving me nuts.

Try this George. But first be sure you exhaust all efforts to look at the files to make sure you want to delete them. Maybe try thumbnail mode in Windows Explorer, or a third-party photo program.... And why are they driving you nuts???

Anyway, however you get to them, write down the folder path, then Start>Run and enter cmd and enter
Then do cd\ enter
Key in the complete folder path that you recorded and enter
key in dir enter and you should see the files listed
then for each one, key in del enter

If those are the only files in the folder or directory, then you can delete them all with a command like this: del *.jpg enter

Good Luck
