now, lets see if i can explain this right..
I had zonealarm untill a pop-up box at the bottem right hand corner of the screen showed up saying: something about that the computer was infected with spyware. in attempt to banish the spyware i took action and did a full scan with zone alarm. it said my time has expired and i need to buy and download a renewed version. right now i cant be buying one of these puppies.
The box keeps popping up every 30seconds or so, saying the computer is infected. i clicked it once to see what would happen-- bad idea. now i have this "pest control" wanting me to buy its product for...ONLY 29.95$!!!
how do i get rid of the pest control, get zonealarm back, and banish the spyware? this is for all you people who really know what your doing. any ways to get around the spyware without buying the new thing? i doubt it. any part of my question that can be answered would be awesome. thanks to all you computer luvas who know what your doing!

I used to get about one or two per week but have only received one in the last six months or so. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. I'm just curious to know if international anti-scam laws have been actually having an effect or if the scammers have just forgotten about me because I continually refuse to take their bait. I still get lots of other spam though I ignore it all and dump the Bulk Mail folder daily.

and have received a bunch of alerts already, though I've only been running the software since yesterday. When I trace the IP addresses on Whois I come up with all kinds of info about IP addresses from the US, India, Hungary and Africa. What's going on there? Some of them have abuse report addresses listed somewhere in this sea of gobbledigook. Someone explain all this to me, I'm lost.

I keep finding under the history on my computer it says:
My computer -if you click on it then it shows:
MSN Mail (msn://@mail.mar@/mail.mailhost)
When I try to click on it, it won't open up, its says i have no access. I just want to know what that address is for, and why its always in the history. My husband uses the same computer, he once told me that he reads my emails. Does this address allow him to read my hotmail emails? Please help. Thanks.

Many web sites I use require you fill in an ID (not a password, that comes later) but, an ID in order to use their service.

On my own computer and on many computers I use as a visitor, the computer will remember my ID after I fill in the first one or two letters and will complete filling in the blanks. This will happpen even after several days of none use and even after I have used tools to delete all coookies and all temporary memory and even after the computer has been shut down and restarted a number of times.

I know it is possible to "forget" me because on other computers I use as a visitor it will not recognize my ID and does not complete filling in the blank

Thanks

My YM signs me in automatically when my computer starts. This is not very good for privacy. I have looked all through the preferences and privacy options but if I am unable to resolve this I will have to remove YM from my computer. There are other chat programs out there that provide more privacy. Does anyone have any suggestions?
