Many web sites I use require you fill in an ID (not a password, that comes later) but, an ID in order to use their service.

On my own computer and on many computers I use as a visitor, the computer will remember my ID after I fill in the first one or two letters and will complete filling in the blanks. This will happpen even after several days of none use and even after I have used tools to delete all coookies and all temporary memory and even after the computer has been shut down and restarted a number of times.

I know it is possible to "forget" me because on other computers I use as a visitor it will not recognize my ID and does not complete filling in the blank

Thanks

If using Internet Explorer choose "tools" at the top and then "Internet Options". On the "Content" tab, at the bottom there is a button called "Auto Complete", this is where you change that.
The first thing I would do is choose "Clear Forms" and "Clear Passwords". This will clear out the saved stuff.
Next, unselect the "User names and Passwords on Forms" option. Also, unselect the "Prompt me to save passwords". Click "ok" and then "ok" again.
Your problem is resolved!

One more thing.....If you are on a public computer, some of the tabs may not be available for administrative reasons. Content isn't usually one of them, but if it's not there you're out of luck.

Hope this helps!

If you are using Internet explorer:
Go to Tools -> Internet Options

In the tab you are viewing, find and click "Delete files". Press OK. After the program finishes (it will be locked up until it finishes), you are clean.

Firefox: Tools->Clear Private Data -> "Clear Private Data Now"

Happy Browsing!

i'm assuming the customary public laptop is making use of Microsoft's internet Explorer. bypass to procedures > internet concepts. click on the content tab. Uncheck the container next to 'consumer names and passwords on varieties. prepare that should quit the internet browser from remembering your log in.

It may be something in the browser as opposed to the computer.
