YAHOO itself, does NOT, "but", it depends on what other sites you may be browsing?
If you have "GOOD", anti virus etc, you should not have to many problems, "as I stated", depends entirely on the sites you may be browsing.
If you are concerned, I would suggest using IE7 "with" phishing.

There are no viruses in Yahoo Internet Explorer from Microsoft or Yahoo. You should remove Spybot Search & Destroy. The owner is a close friend. And the program was designed by students at an University in Germany. (Friend or no friend, his program is not any good. You can alot of false/postives, plus "DOS").
Download an excellent free program that I use. http://www.ewido.net. This Ewido program was from Germany and was purchased by "AVG", now it is called AVG Antispyware .
If you don't purchase the program during the thirty day evaluation period it will become free. All that will be removed is the auto updates and the background guard. You will have to update on a manual basis. Excellent program that scans all 195,000 objects in my system. Never finds any false/positives.

.
Yahoo is clean.
They have a good anti-virus program, and I do not experience any problems from this site.
If you have problems, the way to find out where they are coming from is to
a. get clean
b. make note when a notice pops-up of the site, and block that site.
To accomplish the above
go to AVAST. Excellent anti-virus tool that has been extrodinarily efficient the 3 years I've used it. I have NEVER heard anyone say anything bad about AVAST...only good;
and they have my thumbs up also !!!
1. Go to AVAST and download their free "home eddition" anti-virus program, and
2. run a thorough scan of every file on your computer... it will clean your computer from any virus.
3. When it finds a virus, use the button to DELETE it.
Go here: http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html
4. Then continue the scan.
5. Allow this tool to run all the time on your computer and delete anything it finds immediately, each time you get a notification.
6. Allow it to give you the free automatic updatesj.
7. Re-register for free only once a year.

Give up using Windows, and install Linux on your computer. Linux is immune to all viruses, malware, spyware and adware.
Go to www.distrowatch.com to find out how to get all the popular flavors of Linux...
...then do an image search for Linux screen grabs on Google.
