Have you an orange ball with black grid on your icon bar? Yes? You got Norton.

Go to the START menu and go to the PROGRAMS section. Look for a folder named Norton Antivirus. If it is there, then click on the Norton Antivirus icon and see if it comes up. (otherwise, you don't have it)

If this is a fairly new computer, then you might have a 90 trial version. Try to activate it. But when it expires, go to a store and Buy the disk. Look for Norton Antivirus, the plain version. The Internet Security edition is way too slow.

When installed an operating, Norton Antivirus shows a small icon near the Clock. Right Click and pick OPEN. Check the status regularly, since a virus attack might KILL it. Run the updates and scans regularly to be sure that you are safe.

If you don't know what you have installed in your on pc, how do you expect some one else to know what you have installed??.

Go to start=run: type in c://program files, click on browser, click on program files an open. Now you will see all the files you have in your system. If you don't see "symantec", as one of the files, then it is not in your system. (You should be happy if it is not in your system as Nortons is pure garbage).

Get yourself a free excellent antivirus sytem that has state of the art background scanner in real time to catch a virus and destroy before it gets into your system. Plus auto updates two or three times per day. Download from: http://www.avast.com

The corporate version is the very same program. They just make corporate pay. They will ask you for your email, so the can send you your free key that is good for one year. After one year you must ask for a new key.

I use Avast an I never had one virus in nine plus years.
