Trojan-proxy.horst.aj is a spyware program, AVG virus program did not pick it up, but norton spyware scan did - but it is not removing it.

If you go through this website-http://info.drweb.com/search/?q=Trojan.Proxy&searchin=virlib&page=2 ,Bit Defender does the job of removing that particular trojan.You can do an online scan or download their trial product and get it removed.Good luck.

You can only use one antivirus program, or you will have conflict with your system.
Obvious the antivirus you have I hope in your system failed you.
Here is a free program that is state of the art technology and light years ahead of any free or purchased antivirus.
http://www.avast.com Avast is a company out of Prague. There free version is the same the corporate version. They just make corporate pay.
They will ask you for your email address and send you a free key that is good for one year. After the one year you just request a new key. Has an excellent background scanner that really works in real time. (Would have caught your trojan before it entered your system and destroyed the trojan). You get auto updates two or three times per day. Excellent support.
I have used Avast for nine plus years an I never had one virus in my pc.

I can give a few links that offer free virus and spyware removers...!You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at

if your antivirus picked it up but didnt remove it you may have to hunt it down and delete it manualy this site tells how to do this http://bartman1.blogspot.com/ good luck
