Security - September 2006

At work when i get on the computer it will never let me go to like certain websited, it has something to do with the Proxy settings, but I turned off the Proxys and it still didnt work, it came up another message page about the Proxys, GGGRRRRR!!!! How can I get around this work security shyt! I did it before but now it doesnt work the same way i did it last time, PLEASE HELP!

i get about 10 at time a window that says you have been infected with spyware click ok to remove so i click ok and it brings me to a webpage called black hatz. i tried my spyware removal program and its not working anyone have any suggestions?

I run the spy ware click on delete to get rid of the bug and the spy ware program runs trying to delete it but it just keeps going and going and my pc is then locked up on the spy ware program.

I recieved a fraudulent e-mail to my Yahoo e-mail from a person with the Yahoo e-mail address of " tom02good@yahoo.com ". The e-mail was an offer to buy a boat that I had bid on in Ebay. I did send my name and address in an attempt to get information on the boat, but have found out the REAL owner of the boat did not send the offer. i installed notron systemwrks , i configured the norton sytem doctor to monitor the system and docked it up on top of desktop wth auto hide on , after i restared th system i m nt able to view system doctor though t s doing jobb of mnitrng , it shws up in tskmgr , process viewer bt i canot bring it in front to view ,.......pls someone help me as t wht i shud d ? i will b highly grateful

Whenever i try and open mycomp or mydocs and some created folders the screen goes blank and i end up having to log out, i've got AVG and scanned several times, it found 2 viruses so i deleted them. Then it says theres a trojan in my system files and when i try and heal it or whatever it says it cant, i cant delete myself cos i can't get into mycomp. What the bloody hells gwan on?!

They got into my e-mail, I cancelled my account, and now they got back in and received a "job offer" from a company that is not willing to give me a job anymore because I changed my e-mail. This person is ruining my life! I DO change passwords every month but it's NOT helping! I also use strong passwords.

I am a volunteer doctor who has worked in war zones since 1971. While in Afghanistan for two years and Iraq for two years my Cd's and floppy disk were warped from 45C to 50C temperatures. (I am not compensated for my work on a financial basis).

I have a valid key to a software program that I am in desperate need of. (I have it on a CD, that is warped from the heat. So of no value.
I have a moral and legal obligation to keep my pc 100% clean.

My antivirus system will not allow me to enter a site with Bit Torrent. Plus I don't know how it works. (I know the program I need is on Bit Torrent). Globalink went out of business.

Please is there a kind soul out there that would be willing to find Globalink Pro 6.4 download it and send me the file to hubert90210@yahoo.com

I realize that I am asking alot, because the program is about 65MB

This languge translator is an asset to my volunteer medical work.

over the past few days, i keep getting calls from 386-944-0098. some are less than 5 minutes apart, but when i answer, it hangs up. if i call back it says "all attendants are busy, please remain on the line" then in a moment it says "your call is next in line" but no one ever answers. I have waited literally 45 minutes and no one answers. Do you know where this number is from? i am a former repo man and i have used my formidable resources to find out who it belongs to, but no one knows. if nothing else at least call it and hopefuly the wave of incoming calls will wreak some kind of havoc on their end....

My desktop pc runs on Windows XP OS. Sometime back got infected with spyware. So I used some anti-spyware: intially spydoctor, then ad-ware SE personal to remove them. Now system becomes more stable, but the cursor keeps going haywire! Navigate left, it goes right, and vice versa. Sometimes just runs around the desktop. It's very frustrating.
Can anyone help me? Tell me how to solve this problem please. (Hopefully i do not have to re-format)

Is there some risk with using the Internet Explorer (ie: the blue e)? I have SBC, but I think there is something wrong with it, every time I close the window, it tells me there was a problem and asks me if I want to send an error report. What's wrong with it?!?!

I got rid of Norton and downloaded a free Windows one that found 21 more viruses than Norton and actually got rid of some. Is anyone else's Norton or similar like this? Why would somehting you pay so muct for not be any good?
