Get AVG Free Edition, it is very effective and best of all it is free. I also recommend you get some anti-spyware protection also, because AVG mainly focuses on viruses. ewido, Ad-Aware and Spybot are good ones. You can also have them all installed on your PC at the same time (just never scan your computer with all of them simultaneously!)

You can always go online and get the avg for free. It's easy to use and all. Just follow the directions as the pop up.

hi, perhaps you can try Norton to remove the virus. but you need to pay for the software.
i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

You sure can and there are some very good ones too.
I'm using a very nice one from avast that seems quick, easy to use, updates itself and does pretty much everything such as norton or mcafee charge for.

get online to www.google.com
type in AVG Antivirus
when the listings come up click on;
AVG Free Edition
this will take you to the download page,
i really hope that this helps you i know that viruses can be very bad things
