those emails are strictly spam ... looking for e-mail addresses.

Rule of thumb, if you don't know who sent the e-mail.... its probably spam! Check the sender before opening your e-mail. Pretend it came to your mailbox at home, would you open it? If the answer is no, don't open or respond to it electronically either.

It sounds like a Nigerian 419 scam. They try to get people to answer, then to pay them money for various reasons (bribes to customs officials, for instance).

The claimed massive money does not exist. It's purely a scam to separate YOU from YOUR money.
