Well known hijacker! First you have to consider where it came from, you downloaded something that loaded this in your system, it would have stated that this would be installed in the contract. You wont get rid of it until you uninstall the software you downloaded. Next, you will need to run some form of spyware and hijacker removal tool. Try spybot search and destroy. If you cant get it removed, you will have to type "safetyhomepage removal" in your search engine and probably manually need to remove registry entries. There could be tons of them! Next time, read the contract!

Use Spybot Search & Destroy and activate its TeaTimer resident shield. Also install SpywareGuard. Both these programs protect your homepage as well as many other system settings and prevent them from being hijacked. Oh and don't forget to scan your PC for spyware.
