I've had my website for six years, and all this year I've had people trying to use my guestbook to promote their prescription drug sites, I had to go from automatic posting to having to approve the submissions. I wonder if they are doing this to every website or if its just geocities?

It is common practice these days to moderate everything on guest books, blogs and even forums because of spam. Most of these spam are generated by computers (programs created by spammers) and not human beings themselves.

Spam happens everywhere spammers can find a place to broadcast their messages. It's a terrible problem cause by bad people. Yes, I have a problem with it.
