I just went on photobucket and some "middle school kid" in missouri is logged into photobucket on MY computer.
WTF?!
is this a hacker who for some odd reason hacked in and logged on to photobucket using a stranger's machine and forgot to log out???
is this a fault with photobucket???
what is going on???

ps: it has a bunch of personal information on the person and i can change the password if i want...should i and then should i communicate with the person via their listed email?
there are NO photos in the account.

At what degree does the use of someones IP address become illegal? (Is it illegal to have it? Is it illegal to post it? is it illegal to use a third party program or website application to obtain it?) (please note that this is not about IP spoofing)

i've been trying to make a ftp server from my home computer but i cant ever get it online. ive been using serv-u and ws_ftp home

For some reason, there are certain websites that will not work on computer. I know they are not down because they work on a friend's computer or a school computer. Most of these websites were ones I used to frequent, but recently stopped working for some reason. could someone help me resolve this issue?

hi i have recently bought windows vista genuine andi have already registered and activated the product. now im having a question that im going to change the mother board and the processor to a new one, my question is that if i change the motherboard i will have to repair or re-install the windows vista after that i will have to re-activate the product so from that part i think that from microsoft will not accept the product regitration code. so is there any solution or idea for this matter. thank you.

When my emails are received on the other end, they come out as a odd symbol (a large O with a tilda mark at the top.)

When my brother was working on his coursework last night and tried to save it onto his jump-drive, he recieved a message that said something along the lines of "cannot save - file is corrupt". He had already saved it a few times earlier but cannot find the piece he had written (about six pages long).

The Jump Drive is a Lexar 128mb . All the other files on it remain fine (touch wood). Unfortunately I cannot tell you the exact message that popped up, as I wasn't there at the time.
Please help me out a bit, as the assignment is due in nearly a week.

Basically I have all my work software on my pc at home but when I go to my girlfriends house I can't work because all my work related software is at home on the pc which I can't be bothered to carry to my girls house.

Is it possible to clone the harddrive of the pc at my house then put it into the pc at my girlfriends house? She doesn't use the pc and is ok with me doing this. But I want to know if I would be wasting my time. I would prefer to do this instead of bringing all my discs and going through the process of installing allll the software again which would take well over 2 weeks.

What options do I have? I dont mind about having to reinstall drivers etc but the software I don't want to go through that again.

Help is appreciated.

My contacts and calendar are stored in Outlook on my office pc. My employer does not allow third party software to be installed (eg. Yahoo IntelliSync).

I also have a home PC. My iTunes is intalled on that. At the moment, I have to manually transfer the contacts and calendar .pst files from work to home, and then use iTunes. This is not ideal for the following reasons:

1. My iPhone is only up to date whenever I have the time to follow this convoluted process!

3. If I've added things to my iPhone calendar, to get them on to my office pc is a real pain. Having followed the process mentioned above, I then have to save my home pc's .pst files (after the iPhone sync) and then re-write them to my work PC. To make matters worse, my colleages will probably have added diary entries to my office pc since I did the iTunes sync. Those entries will be lost when I do the re-writing.

What's the best way of syncing in these circumstances?

I have moved Outlook Express Data file ( more than 100 *.dbx files ) from one pc ( pc name : 1'st ) to another P.C ( 2'nd ) via Local Area Connections.

After that i have verified outlook Express files moved or not. Yes it is moved correctly to the 2'nd pc.
Note : The 2'nd pc does not contain any outlook express data, e-mail account etc.,

Now In 2'nd pc I opened outlook express & i selected the Store Folder, Clicked the Change. Now I selected the Location where i moved the files from 1'st pc.

After that i closed Outlook Express & re-loaded. Now there is no e-mail in outlook Express, So i closed outlook express.

I once i again i verify the moved folder, it shows only 5 - 6 files in that.

Please reply how to get my .dbx files which is more that 100 files. Please reply

Im a computer guy. i fix them in my spare time and am on them all the time, and i have never really got to talking about servers, so thus the question never came up. Now im honestly curious.
What is a server? what are they and what are they used for (windows server, ubuntu server etc.) Thanks in advance to all answers! =)

well as I said before I got an e-mail saying that I enherited money or something and that the sender was a banker and that i should respond with my full name, phone number and address. I just deleted the e-mail thinking it was a scam. But my e-mail adress in my name and an underscore between my first and last name. Also, I am a minor so I don't have a credit card or anything. Should I be worried at all?

my main computer (i'm on a laptop typing this) has got problems. it was fine yesterday, then today the keyboard stopped working, so i tried another, and another. all of which wouldn't work. none of their lights lit up although you could turn num lock on and off on one. they are all ps/2 input. there was no key board listed in device manager. my mouse was fine as it's usb so i thought it might be a problem with the ps/2 port.

then i decided to try restarting the computer to see if the computer would recognise a keyboard then... the usual dos looking screen/s came up and then black, nothing but black. no sound... nothing.

we checked the dvd rom drives for disks... none. and now we're stuck...
any ideas?
