I ran disk cleanup on my computer. It recomended things to get rid of. Example compressed old files. I got rid of those. My question it also recomended getting rid of temporary internet files should i go ahead and get rid of those to?

I bought ViaVoice 2000 and after trying it out many, many times, gave up in disgust..

There are now several new softwares on the market, all claimimg to be "New and Improved"... How good are they?,
Has anyone actually found one good enough to use, and reccommend?

My eyesight is going, and I can't face fighting both my PC AND the hassle of trying to get a crap Voice-recognition software to work......

Has anyone any familiarity with a prroduct I can buy with confidence, please`?

Hi! My home computer, which is a HP vs17 Microsoft Windows XP model, will not start up. I would turn it on, and then it would restart over and over again if I just leave and come back. I tried safe mode, last known configuration, and start windows normally when I get to the screen with white font and a black background, but it still restarts to that page after the Windows Xp Logo. I can't even reach my desktop!

I tried some things, like going to the Recovery Console, but it doesn't work and goes to the "Blue Screen of Death". It doesn't even restart when it gets there, I have to hold on the Power Button and shut it down that way and press the button again. I have no clue what to do, and please try to explain it in steps!!! I'm not very tech-savvy. :]

I do not want to lose the files on my computer, and it is about 3-4 years old. It's still fairly new, and I cannot risk losing all my memories [pics] and documents on that computer... please help!!! Thanks so very much for helping!

When ever I turn on my computer, it goes to a screen that is blank.
In order for my computer to work, I must go to safe mode and do system recovery.
But when ever I restart/turn off my computer, it goes to do blank screen and I must do the system recovery again.
Why does this happen, and please tell me how to fix it.

got it how i wanted it on word pad, using insert pain thing, then when i put it on the actual document it cuts off a huge bit.

need something i can download, is simple & quick to use, need em for tomorrow

It dosen't have an operating system, u have to pay extra for a Windows vista.
What i want to know is:
What does format hard drive only mean?
Dos that mean that the comp. wont work without a operating system?
And which operating system should i get?

gahhh.Okay my computer shuts off by itself alot.
Like my internet and everything will like freeze completley.But i can still move the mouse.After like 10 seconds the mouse stops working too like i cant move it.Then either i can sit there for 5 mintues waiting for it to say "windows has occured an error and is restarting and blah blah blah" or i can just hold down the power button for it to go off.It does it alot and i dont know why,I have a Compac computer if that helps.

Can someone tell me whats wrong with it and what i should do.

also i dont think its a virus or anything because i just scanned my computer,maybe should i scan it again?

When I go to a website, the print on the page is really small. Like the questions on yahooquestions are so small I can't read them. The screenc are their normal size, just the print is small. What is wrong with my compunter? How do I fix it?
