Have you ever upgraded the hardware, such as adding more RAM or a new video card? Because if so, you might be experiencing issues with your power supply not being powerful enough to run all of the up to date hardware. The problem with this is that a new power supply unit can be expensive ( for a good one). If you have not upgraded the hardware, it could still be a power supply problem, but not likely, unless it was damaged somehow. You might also have a problem with some other hardware.
Here is what I would do: I would scan for viruses again. If that fails, back up your data and reinstall Window. If it still does it after reinstalling Windows, I would guess that you have issues with the hardware, and you should probably take it to a PC repair shop.
Good luck.

Get another virus scanner and a spyware scanner, maybe the one you're using missed something.
Call tech support, either the computer maker or a freelance fix-everything type, and see if they can find anything helpful in the event logs.
Reinstalling windows is the last step, if nothing else works.

YOu can do System Restore or restore to an earlier date before reformatting your computer. Its possible that a newly installed software (with or without your knowledge) may have corrupted some of your Windows files.
