Using a registry cleaner can clean up your computer and then make your computer faster,Why?the reason is that there may be some regsitry errors and remnant, corrupt files and temp files in your computer to cause "computer slow".
Everytime you install and uninstall software on your computer and surfing online you create junk in the computer registry.over time, the registry can grow to enormous proportions, especially if the various programs you've installed do not do a good job of deleting and/or updating it's Registry entries. You need to scan and clean your computer with registry cleaner to make it fast.Good Regisry Cleaner will improve your computer and Internet performance dramatically! It even can speed up your computer by 300% or more!

Without knowing a bit more about your current computer I can't recommend upgrading or replacing. In general though if your computer can't open a web browser within a few seconds, you likely have one of these problems with your system:

- Other applications consuming all the system memory
- Other applications consuming all the processor time (could be virus related but not necessarily)
- Internet Service Provider (ISP) connection slow and affecting page loading

Try launching the Task Manager () and check the processes tab. Set the sort based on the CPU column and look at the processes taking CPU time. Note the process and Google it to see if it is a legitimate process or something you need to take care of. Next, sort based on the memory column and see if something is taking an excessive amount of memory. Again, check Google to see if the process is legitimate or not.

If all the processes are legitimate and you are running low on memory, consider adding additional memory to your system. Several online PC component websites have convenient memory wizards to help in selecting the proper memory modules for your system. NewEgg.com is one of these companies, but many others exist too.

If the system is very old, it may be time to upgrade your system. New systems for general web browsing and office like usage can run anywhere from $300 and up depending on your needs (do you need just the PC or the monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers).

Have you made sure its not malware? If not download, update and run Adaware and Spybot. Also have an efficient AV like AVG running at all times. How much RAM do you have? An upgrade might help. It might also just be a fragmented drive thats retarding the speed. High levels can make the PC run slow and also lead to all kinds of stability issues. If you have less than 15% free space, it might be a problem to defrag with the built in, although some commercial tools manage with far lesser free space. You can google for some trial versions. Run diskcleanup,( or else download CCleaner) to delete temp files, recycle bin files etc., uninstall unwanted programs and also run chkdsk.

Here are a few steps you can take to speed up your computer:

1. Get a free program called Ad-Aware. It'll remove the spyware, which can really slow down a computer.

2. Run the disk defragmenter. If you are running XP, click on start, go to all programs, accessories, system tools, then disk defragmenter.

3. Run disk cleanup. Click on start, all programs, accessories, system tools, disk cleanup. It'll calculate what should be deleted, and give you a list of things you can delete. Some things will already be checked.

4. Check for viruses. If you don't have anti-virus, AVG is a good, free program.

If these four steps don't help, you may need more memory. Good luck.

Back-up your files on a DVD then format the hard disks and reinstall Windows. With the new Windows installation be careful and use programs such as Norton System Works to keep the computer in shape and also a really effective anti-virus and firewall ! And maybe you need a hardware upgrade.

I would suggest getting more RAM for your computer, upgrade your processor and/or de-fragmenting your computer. All of these will make your computer much faster.
Also, if you type MSCONFIG into the Run section when you press the start button on your computer, you can control what programs get started up when you turn on your computer!
Hope this helps.
