kay so i was on the computer till like 11:30 and i told my dad i was on till 9 and hes like i can find out what time you were on very easily you better not be lying. that was like 3 days ago. can he really find out?

While typing when I select a part of a sentence and push the Back Space button on the keyboard, nothing happens and it doesn't delete that part,however the Delete button does it.

I want to know where in Microsoft Word I can define the functions of each button on the keyboard.

Plz give the exact address.

i did an online test and submission button had a print feature to make a hard copy that would i will have to send to the company. i did not have a printer attached and did a print to file. i tried printing the prn file here at work but get the ascii characters. can anyone help me here?

There are red X in place of photos and pictures.And l thiught it was a Yahoo Glitch, but l also notice this on other web sites.Can any one explain why this is happening.l do have the Internet Option set to allow images. l think lol

The desktop picture stays normal, but the icons and the bar blink (there for 5 seconds, gone for 5 seconds, etc.). It's really annoying. Could I possibly have a virus on my computer? What can I do to get rid of it?

Ok so i downloaded a software and then my computer restarted. I got BIOS! Which means i cant operate my mouse, Keyboard... pretty much anything.
Now it says i can insert a disc, but i dont have a a disc input. WIt hthe a disc i can pretty much remove it by putting it on the disc since BIOS isnt a huge program but its hardcore, it totaly f ucks up ur computer... badly!
I need to know another possibility on how to take it off so i can acess my computer.


Oh and i cant use my motherboard pin, because i dont have the mothermap for it. And there is many pins to remove, if i remove the wrong one... It could totaly just ef my computer, fry it, and its gone. so HELP ME! how do i get bios off!

Okay, I'm trying to watch a video on the web but it won't play all the way through. When I start the video it says veiwing may be less than ideal because my bandwith is less than 400 kbps. and if i want to watch it full screen i need 800 kbps. How do I fix this?

I use internet explorer i have cablelynx connection with a wirreless modem 2 computers on it.I run on windows xp. I don't know if any of that will help you answer my question I know NOTHING about bandwith. I just want to watch an episode of a show i missed thankyou

I checked the control panel and it says no audio device. Itunes won't play files and neither will windows media player. My system just underwent system recovery and I cannot get the speakers recognized what do I do?

When I start my computer a sign comes on that says
\windows\system32\config\system
and I can not go into safe mode or any mode to try to correct it or do a system restore, is there something I can do to fix it, that is not to costly, I am not to sure how much a new drive will be, what do drives usually cost (ball park figure).

Its a dell XPS, 1.0 ram, 3.2 pentium 4 prosseser, and nvidia geforce 6800 GPU video card . Thanks. And after it freezes i turn of the computer byy unplugging it, then my monitor wont show anything until i turn it off and wait like 10 minutes thanks

ok im a little confused. i ordered a pair of shoes from Shoes.com at like 8:00 this morning b/c they said it must be before 11:00 am(today is 8/28). so i paid extra for this UPS Next Day (Next business day (PM)..so does that mean my shoes will be here by tm 8/29 ?? or does that mean they ship them tm and they come thursday... someone please explain this to me lol this is my first time shopping online !

I think my computer has a virus or something..

When I press the power button, nothing appears on the monitor screen.
The moniter isn't broken though, the light by the moniter power button lights up still.
The hard drive usually beeps when the computer turns on, and it doesn't do that anymore.

So, basically my computer won't turn on at all. [and if you're wondering, I'm using a laptop at the moment]
Just the power buttons light up..

So, does anyone know a way to fix that? Or would I need someone to come fix it for me?

I switched from DSL to Comcast because I thought it would be faster. From what I have experienced, it seems slower. Does anyone else think it is slower?

Lately, I've been looking up a lot of japanese stuff, ever since I've been into Japanese drama and anime and song artists and stuff. Usually, I have to translate it on google but there are still some of those boxes replacing Japanese characters.

But, lately, I've started seeing Japanese characters on my computer where I think I should see those boxes. Is my computer starting to recognize the characters since I'm looking at so many foreign website? How does that work?

(don't ask me why i care. I'm curious, that's all).

Do I have to have the files open to back it up on the Jump drive? Or, do I just go into My Documents and everything in there will get backed up? I will print the answer with all the steps to get it right. This is totally new to me and I really need to do some serious back up.
