Are there larger formats i can use and burn on my standard home PC DVD burner? I suppose I need 5GB of space, but I can't find anything other than 4.7GB.

You need to buy Dual-layer DVD-R discs which have about 9gb capacity, providing your burner supports dual layer

If the files total 4.7GB then you don't have enough room on the disk for the other files like disk formats etc. Try compressing the files first using a program such as DVD Shrink

Use a prog called Video Shrink, I think it's a free download. Try googling it.
