Its a dell XPS, 1.0 ram, 3.2 pentium 4 prosseser, and nvidia geforce 6800 GPU video card . Thanks. And after it freezes i turn of the computer byy unplugging it, then my monitor wont show anything until i turn it off and wait like 10 minutes thanks

Sounds like it's overheating. Check for dust bunnies inside, blocking airflow, but don't use a vacuum cleaner, they generate static.

You might try powering up with teh side off, and make sure your fans are spinning. But don't touch anything while it's powered up, I hate losing potential customers.

It might be the case that there are running background processes when your PC is trying to go into sleep mode.

If that program doesn't support sleep features then your PC will have problem when it is waking up from its slumber.
