kay so i was on the computer till like 11:30 and i told my dad i was on till 9 and hes like i can find out what time you were on very easily you better not be lying. that was like 3 days ago. can he really find out?

The Event Viewer tells it all.
Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer
Learn how to clear it out in addition to deleting your browser's temp files :)

You can tell when people were on in a couple of ways.
1) You can configure the system with increased system logging (login, logout, activities).
2) You can check the file access times to see when last updated. A simple check of the temporary files from browsing the web would easily give you a good idea of when a person was actively using the computer.
They can also install various monitoring applications that work independent of the OS, but I'm not familiar with that option.

relax, there is no way. I hope your dad isn't a computer hacker, and if you don't really turn the comp off, there is no problem, really! I will give a nice program to clear the comp - it is the best, and it's free. search for Free internet eraser in google! (not a spam, report abuse if it is..)

several things can point out to when you were using your computer and if your dad knows what he's doing, he can find out exactly what you were doing and when you shut your computer off
