What could be causing it?
The cd burning software? My cd burner? The cd-r's I use?
Songs bought from Rhapsody, play fine on rhapsody, but when i burn a cd mix, loud buzz at beginning, then plays fine.
Why?

hey guys,
i got a wireless game adapter for my ps2 and im going through is crappy setup and i need to know my SSID
dont tell me to go to 192.168.1.1 then type in admin or whatever cause ive already tried that and it doesnt work
i just need a quick and easy way to find my SSID
ive tried everything i can think of

tell me the easiest way to find it out in detail and you get best answer!

I just got a computer from a friend of mine, and I have no clue what they did to it..

It's Windows 98

Anyways, on startup, when I get to the desktop, before the desktop even loads, I get a message telling me

This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down

When I go into details, it says

Explorer caused an invalid page fault in module EXPLORER.EXE at 0167:00401f31 -and then a bunch of numbers letter I was to lazy to write down but if you need them let me know..

I can't do anything after this point except Ctrl Alt Del to shut down. There is no startmenu or anything..

Help please? I'd like to just f-disk but I don't have a copy of the operating system (Win98) so I'd be screwed either way (unless there is a way to still keep your operating system loaded but reload windows)

people are spamming me, but when I block them they make a new account and still spam me. Does anyone know how to only let friends talk to you???

It is not showing up as a virus or anything nasty, but every time I delete this file it shows up a few days later. It is a text file and is just filled with nonsense. It takes up about 15-20Gb of hardrive and crashes my computer. I have wireless broadband, but have been turning this off when the computer is not in use.

I am pretty rubbish with computers so would appreciate any advice on what this file is, where it is coming from and how to stop it.

Ok... I did a report in my iBook, and my printer is connected to my PC. I DO NOT have the software to connect my iBook to the printer, nor do I have internet on it to get the software. BUT it's due tomorrow in 2nd period and I have NO CLUE what I'm gunna do... HELP!!!

OK, I have read enough in the past couple of months to make my head explode! But I would like a few experinced opinions. I am doing my first PC build, and I'm kind of stumped on a motherboard. I'm going with an E6600 Core 2 duo CPU, a 300GB Seagate HD, and I intend to run Windows XP. I am just not ready to deal with all the bugs I have read about with Vista yet. I may upgrade later. I am not a hard core gamer, so overclocking is not REAL important to me, but I wouldn't mind having the option if I choose to do so. I plan on going with 2GB of DDR2 ram, maybe more in the future. I mainly just want a reliable MB, with a little 'wiggle room' if I decide to make some tweaks later on. I should also note, I have already purchased a 550W power supply. Is that enough? I will run 2 DVD drives, and a mid level video card. Gaming is not important, so no SLI. All of my drives will be SATA. I will also be running 3-4 fans, and most likley a fan controller and a couple of cold cathode lights. Thanks!

I created a power point presentation with a Student/Teacher version...and know that the same features do not show up if one does not have the same version (i.e., sounds, music, animation,etc.). Is there a way to share the presentation online - like through Yahoo Videos or YouTube? Is there a way to save .ppt as a video to be uploaded easily? Or, is there a way to create a webpage where friends could play the presentation -- it was for a friend's wedding and I said I'd share it somehow...

My wife and I are just puzzled, and neither of us are computer gurus, so we have no idea how to fix it. A few days ago, random popup crap just started showing up. And it takes forever to get the popped up page to go away! It's stalling the computer like crazy! And when you don't close the popped up page, it's like it automatically refreshes itself and throws you back over to it.

Now suddenly, this new window has popped up four times in the last minute that says, "C:\Docume~1\Owner\Locals~1\Temp\Xpre.exe" and, "Windows cannot access the specified drive, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the file." Huh??

I ran AVG virus scan and the online Trendmicro-Housecall scan a couple of days ago, but apparently it did no good because it's still happening.

Help! Please!

I have a VIDEO_TS file of a movie and earlier today tried burning it, and everything went fine, it worked when I put in my computer, but when I put it in a DVD Player connected to a TV it said it couldn't read the disk. Any help?
