I created a power point presentation with a Student/Teacher version...and know that the same features do not show up if one does not have the same version (i.e., sounds, music, animation,etc.). Is there a way to share the presentation online - like through Yahoo Videos or YouTube? Is there a way to save .ppt as a video to be uploaded easily? Or, is there a way to create a webpage where friends could play the presentation -- it was for a friend's wedding and I said I'd share it somehow...
THANKS

Hi,

The answers to your questions are all, "yes."

First, there's no difference in the file format from Student/Teacher version or other versions. There *is* a difference with PowerPoint 2007. If you are using 2007 then you should use the Save As feature and choose the older file format when sharing.
mat. When people click the link, they get the presentation. If the recipient has PowerPoint or a free viewer then the presentation plays.

You can use File > Save As > Web page and turn the presentation into a web site file. Upload that and if the person clicks on the presentation it plays in the web browser (not nearly as nicely as in PowerPoint itself).

You can also save the presentation as a movie file that can be uploaded to YouTube. There's lots of different ways to do that and Yahoo Answers has at least 100 postings with the answers to that particular question. Some of those I think are "shills" trying to get people to buy a particular product, however.
