it suddenly happen when i click the pop up blocker to switch it on for certain web page.then suddenly mozilla cant load the page and ie also.i checked all connection but cant find any trouble that lead to lost connection with internet.i run mirc and then can connect to it and chat.my connection is ok but why cant i browse intrnet?what happen?it happen on my pc.now i'm using laptop to connect with internet wirelessly with modem that my pc use.

We have just bought a new computer installed with Microsoft Vista. We have wireless broadband and we can't seem to get it to work with the Vista. It says that our network adapter is not connected, but it is. What can we do to get it working.

Do you know when you hold down a key and it will do the letter lots of times for example if i hold down l it would do this llllllllllllllll. Well for me to have to do that now i have to continusly press the key not sure what i have done.

Do you know how i take it off and put it back on so i just hold down the key????

I use this Yahoo only for Questions and Answers (+junk e-mail like when you sign up for something and you know you will be getting tons of garbage afterwards), so my inbox doesn't get mixed with Answers junk and personal e-mails.

The one I was using for personal e-mails (Another.com) is has been giving me lots of problems not to mention I have to pay like $50.00 a year in Euros (its from England)- I've had it for like 8 years though so I've been very reluctant to let it go!!!

I need a cool provider that has great accesories, options, ITS FREE, and useful.
Any ideas?

When my computer first starts up, i have to wait for about 20 icons in the lower right corner to load. i just want to cut this down to the basics i need such as volume, power usage, norton anti-virus ect. So how can i go in and change what my computer opens everytime i turn it on? thanks (HP special edition livestrong, windows XP)

Hi,system restore has been disabled on my computer for some reason...everything else works,task manager etc but system restore says it has been disabled by group policy.i have used ad-aware spybot and scanned with AVG but it still does not work.any help please?

These windows only come up after I turn on my computer. It has been doing it for a while, but my computer seems to be working fine... I just want to get rid of them. There is 4 all together.

for example, can I run the files for Windows 1.0 (DOS) on an XP machine without using a command prompt and without reinstalling windows? The reason I am asking is because I downloaded the files for Windows 1.0 and when I ran them a command prompt opened with "details" about installing 1.0. I was able follow the commands up until a certain point, and after that the command prompt just closed automatically, and I never saw anything about 1.0 being installed or running. So I don't know what happened. Likewise I doubt if any version of DOS would be able to be installed in place of XP on this computer due to the extreme RAM requirements of XP which were not found in DOS systems. So I just basically want to know if there is a way to run Windows 1.0 from an XP system whlie XP is still installed? Because, as I just explained, it would not even work with a command prompt.

I have a Compac presario with no available slots for upgrade on USBs. They are soldered to motherboard. It does have Windows Xp, but it was a ME. In device manager, it does not have any enhanced USB, so I'm assumng it's 1.1. We bought a new film scanner and it ONLY works with 2.0 and XP, so buying new CPU probably would do nothing for us, because of Vista. Never had any problems with other plug & plays. An external drive might do it, but will not run any faster than it does now, but at least the driver would be recognized, right? Then again we are talking spending more money (yuk). Any suggestions?

I have C and D drive on my computer. Most the things I download go to the C drive. It is getting very full, but the D drive is pretty empty. Is it okay to save things to the D drive as well. Such as pictures from my digital camera?

What the heck would have happened? I've been sending stuff to my yahoo forever now, and I always see the pics down there at the bottom. Now they're just those red X's and, I can still open them and dowload them, but Yahoo doesn't even recognize them as pictures when I search pictures anymore. and hotmail shows them when I forward the emails!? I don't think that I've changed anything in what I've been doing to make a change. So any ideas?

I recently got a laptop and downloaded a version of Star Office on it because I couldnt pay for a microsoft office. I recently wrote an english paper using star office but my laptop doesnt have a printer and the computer im printing from only has microsoft word. Microsoft word wont let me open the Star office document, but I need to or else I cant print my paper. Does anyone know how to open Star Office documents in Microsoft word?

I have 46 pounds of feees to be paid to my acount, and i dont want to use the account again, i have cancelled direct debits. What will ebay do if i dont pay them, can anyone tell me of there experiences please. If they do take action, how long do i have until they get nasty! cheers
