Picture on the desktop: no pic - Takes longer to load the desktop when it has to put an image up on it.
Gawd, I just need faster & more powerful computer so I don't have to streamline my stuff to eek out those tiny little extra ergs of juice outta my system.

on firefox, I dont really have a home page I close the browser with any number of tabs I want and when ı open it again it loads it the exact way I left it, I leave a blank page if I dont have anything to follow up in the next internet session
for internet explorer its google(but I dont use this except for microsofts site)
for opera its the same as firefox
my wall paper is a wallpaper I made about songbird, (a new web browser/media player)[which no else but me has hehehe :)]

the picture on my desktop keeps changing every 15 minutes because i use a software named webshots desktop...and my homepage is google because it is easier to search and it takes less time to open.

As I understood ur question..homepage is a web page set in a browser application like Internet Explorer, Mozilla etc. which opens automatically when you run this application.
The picture on desktop is called Wallpaper, Any image in computer can be set as wallpaper; just right click it and set as background item.
