I've replaced an old mother board with a ga-7zxe motherboard and !reinstalled! windows
I do only have 320mb of pc100 ram.

so when I go to youtube, my computer tries load the page, but my computer freezes with an hour glass. its locked. my mouse doesn't even move.(I did reinstall flash as per faq on youtube, no luck)

other flash sites work fine.

also when I play video (.avi) it locks too.
I went to divx.com got the codec, and succesfully loaded their sample divx video online and onscreen. It worked fine,
but it still freezes when playing a video from my hard drive,. I'm using divx player, and Windows media player.

I've updated directX to 9.0 and updated my video drivers.
Also have tried 2 agp cards and one pci video card. Nothing works.

What could be the problem?

I still have pop ups. I am using Internet Explorer. This is my work computer. Any suggestions of what I can do to clean this up? I have never had pop ups like this.

Why are you people SO eager to use Vista? No one I know that has used it has stuck with it. It's nothing but one giant incompatibility problem! If you want to SEE Vista, then download an overlay that makes XP look and sound like Vista. Otherwise, leave it alone for the next few years. XP is still a perfectly good operating system! If you're looking to upgrade your system, Vista is NOT the way to do it. As a matter of fact, consider it a downgrade. Unless your system is brand new, and has been built FOR Vista, you're going to have issues. But, for those persistant people who can't listen to reason, at LEAST create a backup before you go replacing your OS with Vista.

i had an winrar i downloaded off limewire it wouldnt let me delete it and it said it was a system folder on winrar it wouldnt let me do anything to it move folder or anything i moved all contents from the folder that it was in and then deleted that folder and delted it again in recycle bin this seem to have done the trick but is it still there what is it anybody had something like this before?

It seems like McAfee or Microsoft are always downloading something, or somebody is. It sure keeps my computer busy sometimes. When I look at my windows task manager, I see that there are as many as 48 processes going on. I have no idea what most of them are. The more I use the comp. the slower it gets, and the longer it takes to get the darn thing started up. I defrag often, I clean out temp files etc, I use software, such as CCleaner, and Startup Inspector to help(supposedly) clean things up and get things working faster, but none of it seems to help much. I gotta do something with this thing.

I have four partitions - three of them occupied by Operating Systems. 2000 Professional on 'c', XP Professional on 'e' and Vista HB on 'i'. The 2000 is a disappointment because of display problems. When I go into Control Panel and select Display and then select Settings; there are only two options available 640x800 and something similarly low. Obviously this results in poor display of web pages (a horizontal scroll bar because of the whole web page not fitting on the screen) and a generally poor appearance compared to what I have on XP and Vista. Is there any way around this - to obtain the higher resolution settings (like 1280x1024) that I use in XP and Vista. If I decide to remove the 2000 installation, is it best to format the drive or simply delete the appropriate logical drive? How will this affect the boot up screen?

A small retail company ordered a server for hosting an accounting and sales application system the company has only 5 terminals which can access this application and their sales are not that much.
They bought this server through an agent to import the server on their behalf for the cost of $4000 its now 4 months the server has not been delivered so the question is
1. Is buying a server a good decision ..as you can still get a powerful normal pc to be your server.
2. Is $4000 reasonable for a server.

What I mean is, the only only picture I can find is on MySpace where someone blacked out a couple of faces with either MS Paint or Photoshop. Is there anyway to remove that without leaving a massive hole there? I mean, I know the face is still there, isn't there a way to kind of bypass the black spot that will reveal their faces?

So I just made a new computer, motherboard is ASUS A8N32-SLI Delux and I was trying to get my internet to work. I have an old Linksys WMP11 Wireless-B PCI card, and it wasn't being automatically detected. Then when i finally got it to it said "device unable to work" or something. This was after manually doing it (add hardware ... etc) This is becomming very annoying, since it's not detected I can't access the Windows Wireless Zero w/e. Also, it was working fine on my old computer but now this happened, UGH. I already took apart my old computer. WHAT DO I DO! You have no idea how annoyed I am right now after spending hours on trying to fix it. Oh and I don thave the CD so I had to download it online. and I am running on Windows Professional XP

Ever since a week ago or so my task manager has been acting weird. It doesn't show the tabs to select between processes,programs,etc. Take a look at the picture below (link)

My computer had a network problem long ago so I reboot the whole computer over again like it was new. Though the Windows Key i enter from the side of my computer said it was valid so I call microsoft and they activate it for me. Now my computer is slow as hekk so I was thinking reboot it again for the last time but im afraid I lost my windows key.
