computer search from the internet with serial number ******** blah blah blah.... i got this in my email and it said i won something..

i just want to know if this is for real or just spam? Anyone know anything about this?

it lets me try to sighn on but then all it does is tell me to validate windows,cant get any further than that.

I can't see anything=(
I have to focus really hard to be able to see the computer screen!
I mean right now, Im using a flashlight to be able to see what im typing....
I tried using the :FN" and "F7" buttons but it didnt work!
Im totally lost and i really need help because i reallyyyy need my computer!

They have a pc and a broadband connection. If I take my laptop there to use, the internet, do I need to take my modem or can the cord plug directly into the phone socket at their house? Very confused!

One morning I woke up and had a lot of bull on my computer so I deleted many of the icons then restarted my computer. My screen wall paper pops up and that is. I can run everything out of my taskmanager. But everytime I log into my windows nothing.

How do I permanently delete a program from my desktop? Every time I go to play games or something on my computer, the AOL initialization screens pop up automatically and interfere with whatever I'm doing. I keep closing out those windows, and they keep popping up. I do not currently have internet service, so I don't care if I delete the AOL. I have constantly tried to move the AOL icon into the recycle bin and emptying the bin, but it always pops back up every time I boot up the computer. It never goes away! How can I get rid of it? It's a terrible nuisance.
Also, I got this computer from someone I don't know, and he has an icon on there with some objectionable material, and that initiation screen keeps popping up as well. How do I get rid of these?

ok it was working fine and then it just automaticly turned off and i got it to work again and it was working fine then it shut down again and now it wont wocvrk at all and has been that way for atleast 3 weeks i tried wat i did last time still dont work i dont know wat to do now i have to use my dads or my sisters computer PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I am accessing PDFs format from an internet site. The way the site is set up, I am forced to select each PDF document one at a time to read and/or save/download the PDF to my computer.

Is there a general way to bypass the limits of the website design which forces me to do a lot of clicking and just grab all of the PDF's in one download?

Drive D is the Hewlett Packard Recovery Drive. It's a FAT32 system with a capacity of 4.07GB of space but it only has 84.1 MB of free space. I have deleted programs and files to free up space but it only frees it up on the C drive but doesn't effect Drive d at all. My pc is slow and just isn't acting right, plus I can't download SP2 because I get the message that there isn't enough space on the hard drive. I don't know what to do. I've got no good help from Microsoft and No one even bothered to email me back from HP. I tried to just reformat and start over but when I type fdisk/mbr according to the HP website my pc doesn't recognize the command. Can someone please give me some advice.
