when your pc is just starting to boot up, hit F1 to enter the BIOS. Once inside it will usually tell you what to do to reset to default settings.

Right when you first turn on the pc, you shoudl see a screen that says something like F9 for BIOS or DEL for Settings, something along those lines (computer systems vary). Once you are in BIOS, you can scroll around the various menus, and one of them will have something that says "Restore factory defaults" or similar. Select that, it will ask if you are certain, say yes, and viola!

Sorry I can't be more specific, but without knowing the make model of your system and it's BIOS, it is hard to say.

Yes the friend is right hit F1. However sometimes you need to press del.

However, before you change your bios settings I would suggest taking a professional help, because you told you are new. Its better to avoid any problems.

Well its just a suggestion.

well depend of your pc

you got a new disk, well put the new disk in the PC, then at the boot you will receive an error and will enter in the bios...

just agree with the error and let the bios autoconfig for you
