I am giving a presentation and want to be able to read my notes on my laptop for each slide but not display them on my slideshow to the rest of the audience? Is there a way to do this?

I have 2 accounts in my pc the first is mine and the second is visitor account. The problem is that i have also 2 hard drives the first is 80GB and the other is 250GB. The first one is primary master where i have windows xp service pack 2 and the other is only used for storage such as music videos and movies. In the first one when u go to documents and settings (where i keep photos music) u can't enter it from the other account( the visitor account) but how can i also lock the second hard drive??? Cause i dont want the other guy who uses my pc to view anything i have!!!! PLZ help me if u can or tell me a good locking program

I use Scheduled Tasks in Windows to run SyncToy once a day to back up my data. However, if Outlook is open it cannot back up my .pst files as they are locked by the application.
Is there a way to run Scheduled Tasks to CLOSE an already open application. I could then use this to close Outlook before the backup starts.
Or another way to back up the .pst files while outlook is open?

Basically i want to listen to music at work. My girlfriend has said that her phone at her work is connected to her computer, so when the phone rings, the volume of the music she is listening to drops.
Is it fairly easy to set up such a system? Thanks

how can i log in in the main admin acount of my laptop.. the one with the administrator as the name. coz it says that it will not show up in the welcome screen if there is another account that is a computer admin type. it only shows up on the safe mode. but i cannot delete the other admin account cos it says that there should be atleast one more user with a computer admin account....

Story is my husband was transferring all my files onto an external hard drive so he could WIPE clean the computer and start again.

What he forgot was to disconnect the external hard drive from the computer while he was in the progress of cleaning the entire system.

So all my work has vanished on the hard drive. It asked him to 'format' which he didn't do so that means we may have a chance of resurrecting the lost files.

The real question is HOW do we do that?
Any help is much appreicated.

Before the online games and online videos etc used to work perfectly, and now all of a sudden they have stopped working. Whenever I want to see an online video just a screen appears with a cross on its top-left hand side. Any reason? How can I solve it?

I took my computer to a local person to get it fixed, he charged me $110 to get a new hard drive and cd rom. After a week it crashed, he said it was nothing he did. He is refusing to help me and he still has my old data which he said is not retrievable. He also was supposed to add Microsoft for me and never did. My kids use the computer for games and sometimes the internet so how could I have caused it to crash in a week? What can I do? Can I bring him to court? OK,
CAN anyone give me a dummys instructions of how to,
A) save all my files
B) creatce 2 partitions and save my files to one and install my operating system on the other.

I didn't sign up for aol exactly, like the whole deal with,"Sign up now and pay $10.00", cuz it didn't say anything like that when I signed up, and I sign into aim, not aol, but my e-mail account says,"@aol.com".
